| We also fabricated our own inlet and exhaust manifolds as well as a lot of the pipework and bracketry. To obtain the compression ratio required for turbo charging a stainless steel spacer is used between 2 head gaskets, we chose to do it this way rather than have the pistons machined because if anything dm go wrong with the engine internals we could rebuild it with parts off of the shelf rather than have to wait for parts to be re-machined.
As you can imagine this made the van a bit of a surprise to the unsuspecting performance car owner and the odd motorbike.
